Wedding Invitations- Decide on all items to be on your wedding list and agree with gift registry
- Send out your wedding invitations, enclosing reply card, directions to venues, details of gift registry and accommodation options for guests
- Advise your guests to book any overnight accommodation now while there is still availability
Marriage Ceremony- Check local requirements for having a marriage license made out
- If a church wedding, check requirements for having banns read out in church
- Finalise the readings, music and hyms you wish to have at the ceremony
- Confirm your ceremony details with either the registrar or the minister
- Set the dates and times with the officiant for the ceremony rehearsal
- Finalise the flower arrangements for the ceremony venue
- Arrange for orders of service to be printed in sufficient quantities
- Buy a wedding guest book and photo album
Pre-Wedding Celebrations- Plan the bridesmaids' brunch and any other parties
- Plan your hen and stag party (ideally NOT for the night before the wedding!)
- Buy gifts for your wedding party (best man, bridesmaids, etc.)
Other matters
- Confirm the menu and catering details with the caterer
- Discuss the seating plan with the caterer
- Confirm the wedding cake details with the baker
- Confirm with photographer and videographer when and where you want them on the day (e.g. do you want any pictures done on the wedding morning)
- Provide any playlist to DJ / band / musicians (including first dance selection!)
- Arrange to have any vaccinations done, if required, for honeymoon
